From her book What’s Age Got to Do with It?: Living Your Happiest and Healthiest Life
That’s when I discovered the treatment I credit for my youthful complexion and one reason I think people assume I’ve had a face-lift. I had been living in Los Angeles for just a few months and went to a local spa for a facial.
There, the esthetician suggested I try a Medi-Lift, a forty-five minute treatment she said she did on women from their twenties to their seventies. After extensive research, I made an appointment.
The treatment entails having little pulsating electrodes placed all over your face for forty-five minutes. In that time, they’re working the muscles of your face to what’s said to be equivalent to five hours in a gym so that skin is less saggy and more toned.
I did the required series of six treatments over the course of about three weeks and have been going for monthly maintenance sessions ever since. (Compared to many treatments it isn’t too pricey, about $150-$300 per treatment depending where you are in the country.)
